KATE ELLISKate joined Imran Khan and Partners as a Paralegal in 2014 and is now a Solicitor Advocate (with Higher Rights of Audience) having completed her training contract at the firm in 2016. Before joining Imran Khan and Partners, Kate assisted in preparing immigration and asylum appeals as a Barrister’s Assistant at Garden Court Chambers. She also volunteered at a Law Centre and the human rights charity, Reprieve.

Kate initially worked primarily in Criminal Defence as part of the confiscation team with specialist work representing clients in proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act (2002) arising from fraud and drug offences. As a Solicitor Advocate Kate appears regularly at Court, including the Crown Court, on behalf of her clients. She also works with Imran Khan on cases involving criminal defence and public law, including on the firm’s involvement in the Undercover Policing Inquiry https://www.ucpi.org.uk.

Kate is conversant in French and Italian.
