Daniel is a Trainee Solicitor who joined Imran Khan and Partners in March 2017. He recently
completed the Legal Practice Course at City Law School, for which he was awarded the “Future
Lawyer Advancement Award” scholarship, which is awarded to promising young lawyers. For the
Graduate Diploma in Law, Daniel was awarded the “Future Lawyer Excellence Award” scholarship.
He achieved a first class undergraduate degree from Royal Holloway, University of London.
After university Daniel was elected President of his Students’ Union and went on to be elected for two terms as Vice-President of the University of London Union (ULU), the largest student representative
body in Europe. During his legal studies, Daniel was an elected officer on the National Union of
Students’ (NUS) National Executive Council in which he represented the UK’s 9 million students
nationally. Prior to Imran Khan and Partners, Daniel was a part-time immigration and human rights
paralegal at Plumstead Community Law Centre and volunteered at Harrow Law Centre. He was a
legal case-worker and campaigner for workers’ rights in the trade union movement and a case-worker
with the Newham Monitoring Project assisting with civil-rights issues.
Since his arrival at Imran Khan and Partners he has contributed significantly to the work of two major
public Inquiries, assisted with civil claims against public authorities and the police for assault and
battery, discrimination, negligence, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and claims under the
HRA, and public & administrative law challenges and Inquests. He is supervised by Kim Vernal and
Imran Khan, Heads of the Actions Against the Police and Public Law departments.
He is fluent in French.
