The widespread abuse allegations at The Small School at Red House in Buxton, Norfolk, have now gained significant media attention, as survivors take legal action.
Legal Action and Allegations
More than 40 former pupils and residents of Red House have come forward, alleging physical, sexual, and psychological abuse while in care.
Imran Khan & Partners act for survivors of the abuse, in claims against the company who ran the school, the local authorities who sent children there, and Norfolk County Council, where the school was based.
The Shirley Oaks Survivors Association (SOSA) has been working with former residents, compiling testimonies and supporting the legal process. SOSA has played a key role in uncovering systemic failings in child protection, previously exposing abuse at Shirley Oaks Children’s Home in Croydon.
